About the ConferenceWelcome to the 24th Annual Allergy, Asthmaand Immunology conference! This year, we have assembled as usual, ateam of outstanding local and guest faculty to discuss allergic andnon-allergic Esophago-Gastro-Intestinal inflammation. Topics to bediscussed include clinical manifestations of food allergies inchildren and adults, immunological mechanisms underlyinggastrointestinal allergic and non-allergic inflammation, diagnosticand treatment modalities of food allergies and non-allergicinflammatory disease of the GI tract. Covered topics will include:Eosinophilic Esophagitis, Eosinophilic Gastroenteropathy, CeliacDisease, FPIES, Inflammatory Bowel Disease, unusual and unprovendiagnostic and treatment of purported food allergies. Those topicshave been selected based on knowledge gap assessment, feedback thatwe received from last years conference as well as the availabilityand interest of our faculty and respective speakers. The conferencewill kick off with the traditional review of the previous yearsallergy/immunology literature that will cover all the major themesof the field. Finally, the one-hour session: Ask the Professorswill provide ample opportunity to the attendees to discuss contentof the conference as well as appropriate clinical problemsencountered in their clinical practice.
Who Should AttendThis conference will be of interest toallergists, internists, gastroenterologists, primary carephysicians, family practitioners, physician assistants, nursepractitioners and residents. Nurses and allied healthpractitioners, medicine, pediatric and family practice residentsare welcome to attend.
ObjectivesAt the conclusion of this activity, participants willbe able to: Diagnose food allergy in children and adults Properlydiagnose eosinophilic esophagitis, eosinophilic gastroenteropathy,celiac disease and FPIES Identify the different immunologicalmechanisms underlying allergic and non-allergic inflammation of theesophagus, stomach, small and large bowel Identify availablediagnostic testing modalities for food allergy Identify treatmentmodalities for food allergy including food immunotherapy Identifyunusual and unproven methods to diagnose purported foodallergies

Sit back and enjoy the architecture of what is knownas one of the most beautiful buildings in America or stroll alongthe breathtakingly beautiful grounds. Feast on a wide assortment ofhot and cold items. Wine will be served at each table. This eventwill begin after the conference on Thursday, July 19, 2018 at 6:00pm. The cost is $45 for adults and $25 for children 10 and under.You may register for this event on the conference registrationform.
